About Me

I'm a guy who lives in Jacksonville, FL with a wife, daughter and dog. I work in the nonprofit sector, play chess, watch baseball, study philosophy, read scary stories, play golf, and wear mismatched socks.

Born and raised in college towns, I arrived in this world at College Station, Texas, but grew up in Gainesville, Florida. Had stops in St. Croix, Virgin Islands and Vienna, Austria, then moved to Jacksonville, Florida where I've lived for almost 30 years.

Professionally, I've had a life long career in the non-profit sector with a focus on management and fundraising. It started in high school when, after working selling newspapers door to door, I took a job doing door-to-door fundraising for an environmental organization.

Thirty years later, my experience has spanned arts and social service organizations in areas such as running youth and adult programs, grant writing, annual campaigns, and program evaluation.
